Day Three |
Part One - Confessions of a frustrated 1,200lb bulldog
Is it just me or is the Canadian Film industry playing a cruel joke on y'alls dog here? I got 2 (count em 2) seperate reports of these re-shoots happening at the Burrard / Pender location. One from the kindly old man working on the WB TV show last week and one from our very own FSC. Furthermore I remember TUG saying something about "On-location" shooting too before he dissapeared to never be heard from again. That being said I'd like for you guys to know that I've been down there 3 times a day, every day starting on Friday the 25th. That as it turns out was the most promising day as I got alot of nice photos of guys talking on walkietalkies and pointing alot. I'm trying hard to "Re-capture" the magic, I felt last fall seeing all this stuff live, this time around for you guy's! Rest assured though True Belivers, I'm taking all the "supposed" re-shoot days off from work and I swear on a stack of bibles that If I dont see a FF something or another in the next 48 hours, I'm gonna start making things-up and photoshopping my Marvel MiniMates onto street photos... grrrrrr. Regardless, I'm headed back down there. Editor's Note: Hang in there LockJaw... I thought the picture of the Baxter Building shot was pretty cool, and it appears that they're setting up for some re-shoots... somewhere. Part Two - Comparison Shot This may seem like just an average street corner, but if you look at the picture below this one, you'll see that this is where a scene in the film was shot. According to LockJaw, This is also the intersection [where Dr.] Doom Smacks the Thing accross in the teaser. I saw a few of the action scenes first hand... Lots of pyrotech, the streets are still burned from it! The shot below was taken at 5 pm. |

Day Two |
Part One
Part Two The suspitous looking Budget truck was unloading lumber (mostly 2x4's) into the Marine building at mid-day. This was supervised by two women dressed in black North-Face gear holding walkie talkies. Not your usual weekend delivery if you ask me. |

Day One |
Part One
After creeping around a 4 block radius in our fine city's financial district today I've managed to find a few points that would lead me to belive I should have been a detective reporter instead of a 1,200lb bulldog. I will break-this- down between three posts. Some would find this photo pointless. Pointless yes, if it wasnt the space directly in front of the world famous Baxter Building. Usually you get free parking downtown over a long weekend and there are no schedued Easter events. This sticker was not there last night. Very strange indeed... Part Two In addition to that pulse-pounding photo of a parking meter I bring to you... Yep, that's film crew-looking dudes. I know they could be party catierers from this shot but I assure you- These were dudes on walkietalkies and they were on each corner of the streets used in the previous shoots. They were pointing to key areas including the Baxter Building. Part Three If you guys are still awake! I have one more little morsel. I didnt wanna "bug-out" and stick my head in there to take a picture but here's a photo I took while "trotting" by a very lavishly (you'll have to trust me on this one as my walk-by shot of the interior is too blurred to post!) appointed V.I.P. trailor. I was really wanting to see Mr.Story step-out and briefly let him know we got his back... maybe later? What-up Big Tim! You gotta be reading this stuff by now!! Part Four Okay, I'm really doing this. The sun set about a half hour ago and there's a cold fog rolling into the city. This will be my last post until I return for the 11pm news!! That's right, regardless of the weather or poor response (come-on Bennie holders, support my leg-work!) I must march-on... |
